STEAM:CODERS teaches underserved and underrepresented K-12 students of color the fundamentals of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math), in preparation for academic and career success. We focus on logic, critical thinking and problem solving.

What is the primary goal of STEAM:CODERS?

We use computer science to teach students logic, critical thinking and problem solving. These principles can be used throughout all of a student's career.

Does STEAM:CODERS have a minimum age or grade for students?

We teach students in elementary (grades 2-5), middle (6-8) and high school (9-12).

How do you select students?

Students are selected on a first come - first served basis. Priority is given to returning students, for classes that require familiarity with coding concepts.

What will my child learn?

The primary focus of the STEAM curriculum is an introduction to computer science (i.e., coding, robotics). We offer art and design classes, too. Classes are age and grade appropriate.

How do you register for a STEAM:CODERS class?

You can register online at www.steamcoders.org. Or, you can request a registration package at info@steamcoders.org and mail it to our PO Box.
